The Densmore's moved to America in the late 1800's. They moved into Virginia and dispersed to the south. The family moved to Tennessee, and there were three brothers that moved to Georgia, mainly northern Georgia. From there my grandfather was born Coy Densmore. He had 7 children Guy, Rayburn, Varnelle, Weldon, Ivan, Calvin, Rudean. When my father Rayburn was born they misspelt his last name on his birth certificate. That is how I got the last name Dinsmore. I have first cousins that are Densmore. So maybe you should check both names Dinsmore, and Densmore when you are looking for any of your family members.
