Dear Angela,

My Dixon line goes back to Walter Dixon, Sr.of Pitt Co., NC. He was born abt. 1682 aqnd died in March, 1767. Some of his descendants lived in the area of Farmville, NC. I'm not trying to be rude when I ask this question. Was this a white or black family? Walter Dixon, Sr. was white. However, in my research from the census records I've located a black family in the 1800s by the last name of Dixon.

I don't know if your John Dixon connects or not. I'll have to go back through my hard copy files.
