Have posted before without success but now may have more info. I have an address on back of old family photo of my grandparents john and ellen downes who lived in birkenhead england. the photo was taken c.1940 and the address scribbled on back is Smiling Foods??? 4205 Main Street Flush. I wonder if this was to be sent to Johns brother/ cousin/uncle? I have possible link with Long Island as my aunt, Johns' daughter worked for Cunard and was often in New York and allegedly visited Downes family there. All tentative links but hope someone may be able to help
