I am looking for more information on my gg grandfather Thomas E. Downes (Downs) b. Apr 1855 in England (birthdate may be as early as 1846 or 47) married to Jane Battersby. They had at least 4 children William, Alfred, Margaret (my g-grandmother) and George. I believe that he immigrated around 1871 and he spent time in Canada, Maine and Massachusetts
