Eliza Jane was the daughter of George and Permelia (Stark)of Palmyra, N.Y. and Livonia, Mich.; born in Palmyra, N.Y., October 29, 1826; married in 1851, to Capt. Charles A. Hoyt; they were living, 1903, in Porter Mich. Capt. Hoyt was a soldier and officer in Co. E, 24th Mich. Inf.; becamecaptian of his company by promotion. They had five children. 1st Amini, 2nd William ; was a Free Methodist minister, 3rd Harlow, 4th Charles and 5th Sarah.
