Hello, Jennylyn. Yes, I read this site a number of years ago. It's fine for what it is - basically a transcription of the article found in the 1902/1905 Durfee Genealogy (William Reed). All very interesting and tantalizing, but to my knowledge absolutely no one in the last century has made any progress on the connection of our Thomas Durfee New England line to this French branch. We probably need a good, strong Durfee Family Association to be organized and set about to have the research done on the English origins of our line (and then see if there's possibly a connection to the French line).

The visits made to the D'Urfe sites in southern France near Montbrison are interesting to read about. My own brother got there to see them just a few summers ago and the restored chateau of Claude D'Urfe is magnificent in a book he brought back.
