Rick: When I first heard this story from another Durfee descendant, I immediately dismissed it, until I read about Peter Tallman's divorce petition and other evidence as transribed from the RI records. And you got a response from Mary Beth Norton, too. Her explanation makes perfect sense. Wow! (I'm descended from Thomas' son William, then David, David, David, Nathaniel B, George N, Julian H, and Ray H.
