Thanks Cathey ..I have hit that brick wall. All I have on John Dyer is he is in 1850 census in La.then he dissappears.I found his family in the 1860 census but no John.I think I found him in Ga.1880.I am having tough time because records in La. were destroyed duing the civil war.They lived in the area that was destroyed also.I can not seem to connect him with his parents.All I was told they were from SC. So was almost every other family in that area. Keep me posted if you find anything.
Oh his wifes? name may have been Aline ETHA Letty ADELIAH(Drake ) no proof. This is the name listed on my grgrandmothers death certificate as her mother and father is John Dyer.
