The Gardendale Historical Society is trying to locate anyone with knowledge of Otis Dyer of Jefferson County. We have been told he is the first man to own property in Jefferson County in 1827. This area later became known as JUGTOWN (on map) was in 1906 changed to Gardendale, Alabama. Does anyone have this man in your line or the history of this man. Thank you, Doris Hopper
