Mary Ann Eagan or Egan was born in Ireland between 1832-1835 to John Eagan and Ann Carney . She came to the U.S. abt. 1849 and married John C. Allis in 1850. Her first child George William was born in Holyoke, Mass. April 30, 1851. She and her family moved to Springfield, Mass. abt. 1855. Mary and John had five more children, John Jr. 1855, Charles Albert 1857, Annie J. 1860, Elizabeth M. 1864, and Benjamin 1867. Mary died in Springfield, Mass. February 17, 1918.
