Linda: Young Yancy Eaker was the father of Gen. Ira Eaker of WWII fame. YY had only one wife and had a brother who was an Indian fighter. There's a good account of this Eaker family, part in Volume I and part in Volume II of The Shoe Cobbler's Kin, including a letter written to me by the General concerning the family. Another member of that family played with Billy The Kid and also attended his funeral. A full account is given in the book. Another Cousin from a branch remaining in NC went to Texas and was a good Friend of Pat Garrett that shot Billy. Interesting stuff in these books.
