In my great-grandmothers newspaper article scrapbook, I found the following:

MRS. NEWELL BENTLEY DIED WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Newell Bentley, living six miles east of Lapeer, died very suddenly last Wednesday morning, after an illness of about a week. Her condition was not thought to be serious until a few hours before she passed away.
Ida Elliott was born December 27, 1861, near Elba, Lapeer county; was united in marriage to Newell Bentley, February 22, 1881. To this union were born five children, four of whom are living, Mrs. Mabel Hillaker of Flint, Mrs Laura Macklem of Marlette, Mrs Bessie Walker & Byron Bentley of Kingston, who, together with the sorrowing husband, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and devoted wife and mother. There are also 14 grandchildren.
The remains were taken to Kingston on Friday and the funeral held in the Baptist church and laid to rest in the Kingston cemetery.
