RICHMOND, Ind. -- Hazel Fish, age 87, of Richmond, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Reid Hospital. She was born March 4, 1920, in Mount Vernon, Ky., to William and Angie Abney McNew and lived in Richmond since 1940. Hazel was a beloved and devoted caregiver to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, William Charles Fish Jr. and his wife Donna of Richmond; daughter, Jenny Sue Fish and her husband Joe of Richmond; grandchildren, Christina Poynter and her husband Brad of Richmond, Andrew Fish and his wife Ashley of Indianapolis, Ann York and her husband Mark of Richmond, Timothy Wiley and his wife Beverly of Georgia, Tracy Wiley of Evansville, Tiffany Lashbrooke of Evansville and Pam Willingham and her husband Robert of Kentucky; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, William McNew and his wife Lissie of Richmond; sister, Eva Hays and her husband Don of Richmond; sisters-in-law, Avis Jordon, Norma Dunham, Fern Abney, Mildred Rigsby and Pauline Russell; brother-in-law, James Fish; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Fish, who died May 8, 1981; one daughter, Janice Wiley, who died April of 2007; two grandsons, Patrick and Terry Wiley; five brothers, Stanley, Edward, Homer, Charles and Earl; two sisters, Beulah and Lula May; nephew, Scott Jones; and her parents. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at First Christian Church, 100 S. 10th St., Richmond, Indiana. A memorial service for family members will be held afterwards with Rev. Lester Maples officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond.
