Please contact me if you have further information on the ancestry of James Fish or any of his descendents. I am researching these Fish for my brother-in-law. James was his great grandfather. Thank you,

Sparta Herald, Sparta, Wisconsin. January 18, 1916
James S. Fish, who resided on the Sias farm in Mound Prairie, passed away at his home, Jan. 15, 1916, following a stroke of paralysis. He was sixty-one years of age.
Mr. Fish came here from Pennsylvania and has lived in the vicinity of Sparta for many years.
He is survived by his wife and a large family of children, Mrs. Meacham, Mrs. Patterson, Mrs. Schilling, and Verne, Roscoe, Orin and John.
The funeral will take place at the home today at noon, and burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, conducted by Rev. C.L. CLifford.
