My g-grandmother was Marta Rose Fries Bachman who was born in Bavaria 28 Mar 1880. She married Georg Bachman in New Haven, Conn (1898) and then lived mostly in Olympia, Wash (c. 1902-1931. Her 1931 obit mentions a brother Edward living in Pennsylvania. Her children were Emma Bachman Martin, Annabelle Bachman Green, Marie Bachman (married name unknown) and Edward Conrad Bachman.
I am trying to work a hunch that this Edward might be the Ant. Ed. Fries (age 15) who emmigrated with Conrad Fries (age 41) onboard Elbe on 27 April 1887.
Hunch is based on George Bachmann (age 15) registering on Elbe between Ant. Ed. and Conrad-this is one of two George Bachmann's that could be my grandfather; and that Marta Rose named her son Edward Conrad. Long shot but I don't have much else to work with.
