My 2nd great-grandaunt, Margaret McCLELLAND (1840-1919) married Abraham Fries (1841-1925) in 1862. They farmed and resided in Columbia Twp., Bradford Co., PA their entire lives and they are buried there in Fries Cemetery. Abraham Fries was the son of James and Sophia BESLEY Fries. James Fries died in 1844 when son Abraham was only two years old. Abraham was subsequently adopted by his paternal uncle Jacob Fries (1812-1897).
