I am wondering if anyone has access to the above Census Indexes. I was at my library yesterday and found the 1879 Georgia index, but that was all. My library has the microfilms I am looking for, but it is way too much information to scroll through.
Here is what I found in my 1870 microfilm:
Father: Adrew Edge, Mother: Alpha Edge, Child: Flora, John, Ada or Vada, and Camelia age 7/12. Camelia is the person I am looking for. She is my grandchildren's gr,gr, gr grandmother.
I would like to find her on the census' listed. Family says she married Jake McGee and had a daughter, Mary Lou McGee (Married name Thomas). Mary Lou lived a very long live and died not too many years ago. This family lived in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County or I suppose could have lived near by. I would also like to trace the McGees. Unfortunately the only name I have is Jake McGee. Don't know if this is a given name or a nick name. Since his wife, Camelia, was born about 1869, it does give some clue to his birth time. If anyone has access to Lumkin County records, I really appreciate any infomation I can get. Thanks. Barbara
