According to the many Guion Miller applications going back to Abraham Hilton and Katie Owl they moved to Lumpkin Co. GA. The applications say that they moved to Town Creek and that Abraham died around 1837 and is buried at Pisgah Church. We would love to know the location they are buried or to know any information on this family. There are about 60 Cherokee applications from the descendants of this family. Reese, Wilson, Pruitt, Grizzle and many more are named as descendants of this family. This is a wonderful source of family genealogy. The Helton's from this line have tested Native American in their DNA. Yes, would love for some local Helton's to test too. This Abraham was a Rev. War Soldier. Lived to be 100. Harmon Hilton, Sarah and James were alive at his death and carried on his pension application. He was rejected from the land Lottery because he was not white. We found one paper where Abraham was delivering hides in the Old Fields. I am sure there are more things there. Any Help appreciated. Mike Notify Administrator about this message?
