John Gammon, Sr. of Pittsylvania County

Does anyone know of a primary source giving a middle name for John Gammon, Sr.? His name is listed in several postings here, and other places online, as "John Brawner Gammon", but repeated searches at the County courthouse in Pittsylvania have revealed no evidence that he had a middle name.
