Tommy Barton Gammon
Tommy Barton Gammon, age 66, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007 at the Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Gammon officiating. Tony Gammon, Ricky Gammon, Robert Fox, Robert Fox, Jr., Clint Doss and Patrick Crowe served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Pirtle Cemetery.
Tommy Barton Gammon was born on August 26, 1940, in Macon County, Tennessee, the son of the late Oscar and Ruby Dillard Gammon. He worked at Detroit Diesel Allison as a Tool & Die maker for 30 years.
He is survived by sons, Kevin E. and Tommy B. Gammon, Jr.; stepdaughters, Tina (Robert) Fox and Marie (Mark) Thomas, all of Indiana; sister, Teresa Gammon, Washington, DC; brothers, Ricky (Jennifer)and Tony (Shelia) Gammon, all of Lafayette, TN; 4 grandchildren.
