I am research a John Gammons b. 2 Apr 1826 in Middleborough, Plymouth, MA m. Abbie b. 24 Mar 1821 in Rochester, Plymouth, MA. I believe they had at least one daughter, Helen Louise Gammons b. 25 Nov 1848 in MA. I find a John Gammons in MA Census Index in Plymouth, MA Rochester Twnshp in both 1830 and 1840 but that would be too early for my John Gammons to be a head of household. I also find a John Gammons and a white female in the 1790 Census of MA in Middleborough, Plymouth, MA. I am hoping to be able to connect my Helen Louise with this John Gammons and his ancestors.John and Abbie Gammons moved to Dane, WI by 1855 with a Warren Gammons b. abt. 1823. They then moved to Mitchell Co., IA by 1870 where he died 13 Nov 1890. There is also George E. Gammons d. 20 Jul 1894 and another John Gammons d 19 Jun 1943 in the Osage Cemetery in Mitchell Co., IA burried near John and Abbie Gammons.
