Blanche E. Sharp
Mrs. Blanche E. Sharp, 85, of 17 Cross Keys Village, Duncansville, died Saturday evening, Aug. 20, 1994, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 5, 1909, in Mooresville, the daughter of Jessie D. and Zelpha May (Scott) Gardner. She married George C. Sharp on Nov. 9, 1927, in Cumberland, Md. He died Nov.3, 1955.
Mrs. Sharp was a member of Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville, and AARP.
She retired from Puritan Sportswear after 22 years of service.
Mrs. Sharp was a 1927 graduate of Petersburg Vocational High School.
Surviving are four daughters: Adaline M. Beck of Bellemead, Doris J. Dittsworth of Duncansville, Bettie M. Schaefer of Monroeville, Ohio, and Linda K. Whitesel of Bellwood; two sons: George L. of Calabash, N.C., and Samuel H. of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Alice Magill of Harrisburg; two brothers: Fred and Ralph, both of Petersburg; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by a son, William H., and a daughter, Mary Ann.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Liebegott-Fisher Funeral Home, Duncansville.

Services for Blanche E. Sharp of 17 Cross Keys Village, Duncansville, wil be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liebegott-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville, by the Rev. Donald G. Haulman. Graveside committal at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, 1211 3rd Ave., Duncansville, Pa. 16635, or the Altoona Area Public Library, 1600 5th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.
