As a CUE descendant I recently followed the lineage of a CUE in California and traced her family back to John CUE (1844-unk) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. John is the 11th child of John CUE (1803/1895) and Effie REECE and grandson of William (MC) CUE (1781/1865).

While looking for the link to her ancestors I ran across an unknown (to me) home page, the HOAG Family Genealogy. This is put together by a John HOAG and his index lists 63 GARDNER names (and over 5,000 HOAG's).

The names trace back to George CUE (10th child of John CUE) and his younger brother, John (11th child). The reason both are listed is because they married sisters, Eliza Ann and Sybil GARDNER. The sisters are the daughters of Dr Marlin GARDNER and Sybil BOWDISH.

Under the assumption that this site started with the HOAG name, I looked for the oldest one (with data), who was John HOAG, Sr (1643 Wales/1728 Massachusetts). I did not check to see how the HOAG name led to the GARDNER family...but I guarantee it will.
