Guyse is a phonetic representation of GUISE, GUYCE, GYCE, GUICE in Britain. There are pockets of Guices/Guises in the worcestershire and Birmingham area who I believe have derived from the same family in the 1500's. This family had their name spelt differently depending on the person entering the details in the parish registers. In the meantime there are good internet sources for De Guise if you wish to study the history of the name including this one

Henry I, Duke of Guise
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

And anybody out there looking for the Guice's in worcestershire get in touch!
