I'm hoping someone will help me fill in the holes of my grandmothers' life, around the late 50s, the Gulley/Gully family sheltered my dad and his mom in El Dorado, Ark. I'm hoping maybe their descendents are still there, and might remember something, and/or have pictures. My dad is now 65, and in very bad health, with lymphatic nonhodgkins cancer and we're desperately searching clues regarding a family secret. My grandmother passed away, before revealing it.
It's all he talks about now.
One clue could be in the name discrepancy we found. His mom always said her
name was Alberta Francis Berkschneider, but awhile
back, when locating his birth certificate, it showed
she was really Alberta Sylvia Mary Beers, we don't
know if maybe shes was adopted, she'd said she was in
foster homes, she had a brother, Leonard Beers who
passed away on Dec. 2 2003 in Mission Veijo, CA., she
mentioned a sister, Donna, who may have married a
Gill, but have not located a record of her.
Maybe she was married before she married my grandpa, Raleigh
Vestal Robinson, they were supposedly married in
Sparks, Nevada, we know she was married a 2nd time to
Lloyd Henry. She is buried at Engelwood Cemetery in
Slayton Tx., under Alberta F. Henry, she was born Feb.
1 1922 in Missouri, she passed away on May 28, 1972.

Her parents are Bert C.Beers, b. in Nebraska, and mom was either Margaret Clara, or Clara
Margaret Beers, b. in Illinois, her parents from
Germany, other records showed France and Germany. Bert
was married once before to a Myrtle Emery. One of the ladies supposedly died in a car
crash in Edwardsville, Ill. in 1958. Bert Beers mother
had the surname of Salmon. My g-mother said she was
Pennslyvania Dutch and German. I've tried several
times to trace the Berkschnieder line, but have come
up empty, does anyone know the origins, or have any
pictures, also, the surname of Beers.
My maternal great grandparents, Bert C. Beers, and
Margaret Clara Beers moved to Oceanside California and
he developed a subdivision there, called Plumosa
Heights, and named streets after his kids, Alberta and
Leonard. Also trying to find out Margaret Claras'
surname and former married names,I found a record that
in 1928, Bert was trying to have his marriage
annulled, because her former divorce wasn't legal but
later in the 1930 census, she is still with him
though. If anyone has any info, please reach me. Thank you, Cynthia Fischelli

My email is cfischelli@yahoo.com, and my url for
Myspace is myspace.com/ledbyintuition I have some pictures there of my dad, and grandma, also some of her 2nd husband,
Lloyd Henry.
