I'm trying to find more information on the Harvey/Fogarty families of NY.
Here's the information I've collected in regards to my great grandfather. If your info relates to mine, please feel free to contact me.
My great grandfather was William Joseph Harvey.
He was born Jan. 10, 1898 and died in Webster, NY on Dec. 15, 1992. He served in WWI. He married Helen Collins and had 4 children. Theresa, Mary Ellen, Lucille, and William Francis.
William F. is my grandfather.
William J.'s parents were William and Mary Jane Harvey (maiden: Fogarty). And he had 3 siblings: Margaret, Leo, and Madeline.
Both William and Mary Jane indicate on the census that both of their parents were born in Ireland, while the two of them were born in NY. William's father's name is possibly Barnard P. Harvey born in 1836 in Ireland and worked as a blacksmith. He wound up dying before the 1880 census was taken.
Random information I have is that Mary Jane had a brother named Bill Fogarty who served as a police officer near Hemlock, NY during 1947.
