My wife has found the surname HYBART in her family tree.
We were wondering if it was possibly derived from the HIBBARD surname.. Perhaps it was mis-spelt on documentaion years ago.

Q. Has anyone else come across this name as a possible variation ?

The ancestors we have found with the name are in south Wales, United Kingdom. (circa 1890)
We are awaiting the imminent receipt of birth and marriage certificates to enable us to research further back.
