Harfry HOLLAND / city, Abbeville, SC 1820

Henry HOLLAND / Edgefield, SC 1820

I have also seen this name spelled as
Harfrey / Harphey / Harpy / Harphy.

This is the Harfrey Holland that is found in the 1830 census of Warren, Tennesse, and then 1840 Lawrence, Tennessee. His widow Jain Holland is in the 1850 census of Ripley County, Mo. Son Henry Holland is also there, as is Calvin Holland, Albert Holland. Brother Mall Holland was down in Conway County, Arkansas, in the 1850 census. Sister Elizabeth Holland was married to George Lee, Sr. This must be the same George Lee that gave the land for the founding of Doniphan, Missouri, county seat of Ripley.

By the 1860s, the Hollands had migrated again down into Arkansas / Faulkner County / Cleburne County / the Heber Springs / Damascus / and Quitman area.

Is the Henry Holland in the 1820 census the son of Harfry? The census of 1850 Ripley Co., Missouri, say that son Henry was born in 1808 in North Carolina. If that is correct, then this Henry cannot be the son. PERHAPS THE FATHER!!!
