Found some more information about Jens Christian Hansen Holm.
He has probably been a trapper in Alaska the first time he left for America. The second time he leaves he does it together with his sister Kirstine. He was often without work and had a bad knee. In 1893 he becomes engaged to Jenny Schultz who is 19 at the time. Jenny was christened in Iowa but lived for awhile in Denmark before she went back to USA and meet Jens. Jenny live to be more then 105 in Seattle.
At one point he might have had a ranch with about 17 pair of horses.
Jens had 2 boys and 2 girls one of the girls called Ellen Marie.
Jens died fairly young from cancer..
In 1978 Jerry a grandchild of Jens came to Denmark to see his ancestral home Kokholm.
