WILL OF HENRY HOOVER written Jan 19, 1813 Frederick Co VA; probated April 3, 1815; Will book No 9, p 347-349
Wife CHARITY; sons JOHN, PHILIP; daughter CATHERINE HEILSEL; brother PHILIP; daughter-in-law MARY HOOVER.
To wife, entire estate during her natural life. After decease of wife, to son John, land I purchased of Benjamin Sedwick and land purchased of Geo. Beamer. To son Philip, plantations where I now live. To daughter Catherine Heilsel, note of hand given to me from Chas. Heilsel dated 7 Jan 1793; also land purchased of James Russell, and a tract of land in Shenandoah County. Executors: wife Charity, my brother Philip Hoover, Daniel Hartman. Witness: Nicholas Kern.
Codicil dated 16 March 1813: "As it has pleased the Almighty to take my son Jno. Hoover out of this world, and my son has omitted in his will to provide his wife a home, it is my will that Mary Hoover, wife of my son John, shall have three acres and a house out of my estate."

WILL OF JOHN HOOVER probated April 1815; Frederick Co VA; Will book 9, p 362-363 (is this son of Henry Hoover above?)
Wife unamed; children unamed except daughter SARAH.
Estate to be divided amongst my wife and all my children except my daughter Sarah. "It is to be understood that when I mention my children that my daughter Sarah is excluded and to have no part whatever."
Executors: William Cochran, John Wall; Witnessed: John Hoff, Abraham Miller; William Cochran refused executorship.
