I am looking fro the parents of William J Hull, b. 1760 in Leinster Province, Kildare, Ireland. He was 15 years of age when he departed the port of London aboard the ship Ashton, on May 8-13 1775. The ship landed in Maryland, William J hull deserted the ship and served in the American Revolusion. After the Revolution he returned to Ireland then crossed over to Scotland and married a Scottish lady by the name of Margaret Bowen. Margaret and William immagrated to America arriving in the state of Vermont, they had a son William J Hull Jr who was born near Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont in 1796 William Jr died 14 Nov 1862.
Would like to trace the family back earlier than 1760. Have a lot of information from 1760 forward I would be willing to share.
