In researching the Humphries family in Dekalb County, Ga., I came across the following entry in Dekalb County Will Book A (1841-1869).

I am positive that this is actually William Scaife (rather than Scarfe), who was previously of Chester Co. SC and whose first wife was supposedly Margaret Terry.
There is a Charner Scaife mentioned in the will of Bennett Humphries of Chester Co. SC. I think that "Cherne?" in this will is the same person.
