I have traced my line of the Humphries family back to John Humphries b1781 Sunningwell Berkshire. Sunningwell is not far from Ardley. John married Hannah Hawkins b1791 also Sunningwell. John's son James b1810 married Ann b1817 Charlbury Oxordshire. They had four son's John b1836, Joseph b1842, George b1844 (my g grandfather) and William b1847 all born at Sunningwell. John married Emma Lyford b1834 died 1872. They had three children George b1862 Boars Hill berkshire, Matilda b1866 and James b1869. In the census of 1881 John is living with Esther Absalom (sister in law to his brother George in Liverton Yorkshire he is employed as a plate layer in an iron works. Also living with him is son's George and James. James employed as a loco fireman and George as a miner. Does this link with your tree.
