Lesley

Dobry den is proper Slovak
Dobry dzen would be in an eastern dialect.
Check out www. iabsi.com/gen/public how to go about researching in Slovakia.
Do you know religion of your FESCO ancestor? Looking in SK's phone book a much more listing for FEC^O. Spelling is very important. Was your ancestor naturalized citizen? Anything in the church he married? Need a precise place of birth.
