do you know, why your ancestor emigrated or escaped to Poland?
It is an important question.
If he was a fighter in the Liberty War at 1848-49, and he was officer, maybe in the Military Museum of Budapest you can get information ( http://www.militaria.hu/ ).
Otherwise the Lóránt is the Hungarian form of the German Roland, and quite frequent surname. BUT:::::::::: you have to be very mindful, because the Lóránt also written as Lóránd!
The Krzysztof is written in Hungarian as Kristóf.
