Hi Beverly,
I couldn't find the 1902 arrival, but this 1914 arrival has been in the US previously from 1901-06. It appears his name was mistranscribed based on his wifes name on the Shipping Manifest: Malacsina Mihályné=Mrs.Mihály Malacsina.
The Rudabánya placename is correct, C.Bosed=County of Borsod.
Look for it at the crosshair on this current Map of Hungary:
http://www.terkepcentrum.hu/index.asp?go=mapszarvashu2&sx=1000&sy=1000&ex=4616&ey=721&tertip=szarvashu2

Passenger Record

First Name:        Michal
Last Name:        Malacsnia
Ethnicity:        Hungary, Magyar
Last Place of Residence:        Rudabanya C. Bosed, Hungary
Date of Arrival:        May 18, 1914
Age at Arrival: 44y Gender: M Marital Status: M
Ship of Travel:        Rotterdam
Port of Departure:        Rotterdam
Manifest Line Number:        0003

The manifest showing his birthplace something like Eselier, have to look on the map because there was no such a place in Hungary, maybe Eszlár or similar.

After him on the passenger list is a Nemes Andras from Rudabanya, is that name familiar to you, perhaps friend or family?

Joseph
