Robert - I do believe also that they were rusyn, but my gr-grandmother did (according to my mother) speak Russian. And, I think that the rusyn eventually with my grandfather became russian, since they did speak russian. My gr-grandmother listed her religion as greek-catholic, but when my grandfather got married he was married in the russian orthodox church. It certainly gets confusing, especially with all the boundary changes in the countries. Thanks for the information. Doreen
