Do you mean Galgaguta, sometimes called simply Guta, in today's north-central Hungary? Or do you mean the Guta that is today the town of Kolarovo in southwestern Slovakia? If the latter, was the family Roman Catholic? There are lots of R.C. church records from Kolarovo/Guta available on rolls of microfilm you can order through your local branch of the Mormon (LDS) Family History Library:
