The early records of the catholic parish may still be worth a try for you. If you find the last name Babuscov (or similar) in these records, you could assume that these are ancestors or close relations of your ancestors. You would also know that you are at the right place. You might even find out the origin of the Babuscovs, or at least indications as to their origin.
