Various family trees online show the wife of Simeon Sears of Bennington Co, VT and Rutland Co, VT, as Tryphena or Polly HURLBURT and I'm curious where this info came from or if there is any source to this info.

In 1765 Simeon Sears was admitted to the First Congregational Church at Bennington, VT. Early church records show the following:

Sears, Simeon - Lucy, Sarah, Simeon 1777
Sears, Simeon and Sarah - Rhoda 1777, Elisha 1778

This record indicates that a Sarah was the wife of Simeon Sears with their children Lucy, Sarah, Simeon, Rhoda and Elisha being baptised in 1777 and 1778.
