I am looking for the the parents of Loren Hulbert, who was born on 16 Sep 1794 in Massachusetts, but who also lived in New York during the 1820s, before moving to Van Buren County, Michigan around 1832. He married Augusta Sackett (b. 29 Mar 1806)around 1825. She is the daughter of Elisha Sackett and Nancy Jones, who were married on 4 Jun 1803 in Westchester, New York. Her aunt, Margaret Sackett married Truman Merchant on 06 Jun 1790 in New York City.
Loren Hulbert and Augusta Sackett had eight children: Cyprian G. Hulbert (b. abt 1829, Tioga County, New York), Elisha (b. abt 1830, New York), Nathan (b. 22 Sep 1832, Palmyra, Wayne County, New York), Elizabeth P. (b. abt 1837, Michigan), Ira W. (b abt 1838, Michigan), A. Sarah (b. abt 1840, Michigan), Chester (b. abt 1845, Michigan), and Maria (b. abt 1846, Michigan). Augusta Sackett Hulbert died in Van Buren County, Michigan between 1846 and 1849.
The names Hulbert, Hurlbut, and Hurlburt were all used in various records. There is also a Timothy Hurlburt, who married Mary Robbins in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts on 7 Mar 1784. He is the son of Timothy Hurlburt and Sarah Clark of Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut.
