I've read some on the Knott's, and 'Alonzo' sticks in my mind. My ggg grandmother married an Ephraim Knott (b. abt 1790 in Kentucky)--with both being a second (or more) marriage. I know he lived in Wayne County, Indiana about 1820, and he died between 1850-1860 in Fayette County, where he lived in 1830 until his death. In Fayette County he had at least 5 children.

This may not be a positive "sighting," but I think worth following up. My ggg grandmother did have Quaker roots.

GOOD SEARCHING!
