Anyone out there related to the Poshard family. 1850 census has them in southern Oh then they crossed over to southern Indiana, primarly Dearborn Co. My mother's father was Oliver Poshard, 1 of 8 boys and 2 girls born to Charles John & Mary Elizabeth McKenzie Poshard, French Catholics.
My mother's father died in 1918 of the influenza when she was only 6 so what genealogy I have is scarce.
I know that some of their Poshard Cousins live in and around southern Illinois now. Both of my grandfather's sisters stayed in Indiana, one was name Katherine Poshard Crappo or something similar. Any help welcomed.
