I am searching for any information on the ancestors of Joseph Sampson (AKA William Joseph Sampson or Joseph William Sampson), married October 8 1832 in Montgomery County, Indiana to Mary Crouch and divorced in October 1842. I am descended from his son Thomas L. Sampson. In various census records, Thomas has claimed that his father was born in either France or was "French Canadian". At any rate the only information I can find on Joseph is that of his marriage and divorce. If anyone could direct me to information on his birth, death, parents, etc., I will be forever thankful.
