I need information on the following extended family.
John W. Smith, son of Daniel Smith married Drucilla(Zilla)Wilson, daughter of John T. Wilson and Elizabeth Ray, in 1845, in Elkhart,IN. Shortly there after, the couple moved to St. Joseph, IN.
Mary Smith married
#1 Charles F. Arnold d.1894
#2 Frederick W. Lammedee Nov. 25,1896
Sarah E. Smith married Samuel Peffley
Amanda L. Smith married Peter Jacobs
Susanna Smith married William Brown.
John W. and Zilla Smith had 8 children, one son and seven daughters. Zilla died April 1,1904, and I believe her husband died about a year earlier. Both died in St. Joseph. I have a brief history of the family from The History of St. Joseph County, pages 1020 and 1021, listed under Frederick Lammedee.
I am hoping that someone in this extended family, a descendent may still be living in the area. It is also my hope that they might have knowledge of the family history. My interest is mainly in the early parents, Zilla and John, and there parents and grandparents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
