need obit lookup for Stevens in Lafayette

Is there anyone who is in Lafayette area who could do an obit lookup for me? I am far away from Indiana, and don't think I'll be able to travel back for a long time. To complicate matters, the date of death in the SSDI only lists the month, not the day, so it will *really* be a "kind soul" who helps on this one!

I am looking for Robert J. Stevens who d Dec 1967. If anyone has access to a more specific death index and could let me know the date, that would help also.
