Mrs. D. V. (Susan) Rogers, Funeral: M. E. Church, 1854

I have just inherited an old bible. Inside was a Funeral Notice for Mrs. D. V. (Susan) Rogers. I am trying to place this old bible, also to determine the owner of the bible, and share this information with any Rogers or Reed family members.

The Funeral Notice reads:
Yourself and Family are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of Mrs. Susan Rogers, late Consort of D. V. Rogers, at 10 o'clock, A. M., tomorrow. Funeral Services at the M. E. Church, by Rev. J. C. Reed.

Wednesday Evening, May 31st, 1854.

(I did some searching on the internet for J. C. Reed and there was a web site through Rootsweb on Churches of Lafayette, Indiana. I believe the M. E. Church was the Ninth Street Methodist Episcopal Church and J. C. Reed served for 5 years at different times).

Inside the bible, on the front cover, I can read only first names, William born March 3, 1812, location ?, Mary born February 24, 1817 in Clark Co., Indiana. (Last name may start with H, M or W - ends with ll?) Any histories of Lafayette, Indiana that might list these people?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you very much.
