At least part, if not all, of the records of the orphanage are on microfilm at the University of Notre Dame at South Bend in the Parish and Institutional Record Collection. (Microfilm reel numbers given below.) I'm looking for information on Joseph and Francis Quigg who were in the orphanage in the 1890s and recently found these references. Hope this helps. MPIC reel 12, odometer 13+ Folder : Case Histories nd ?Short handwritten reports of individual orphans, recounting background, health, status, etc. Also found at 12.037+.
