Deceased Name: Mildred Louise Franklin

WEST POINT -- Mildred Louise Franklin, 75, of West Point, died at 10:25 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at St. Anthony Healthcare.

She was born July 25, 1930, to the late Claude and Bernice Marks Maitlen in Lafayette.

Her marriage was to Ernie "Ted" Franklin on July 9, 1949, and he survives.

Mrs. Franklin worked as office administrator for Trio Engraving which was co-owned by her husband.

She enjoyed traveling and watching sports.

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Steven L. Franklin (wife: Barb) of Monticello and Michael G. Franklin (wife: Jackie) of West Lafayette; two sisters, Vonda Cheesman (husband: Jack) and Marjie Davis, both of West Point; and a brother, Bobby Maitlen (wife: Margaret) of West Point.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., with service there 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Interment West Point Cenetery. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Matt, Aaron, Erik, Ginger, Kari, Kassi, Kelsey and Kayleigh; and a great-grandson, Drew. Memorials to the American Cancer Society. www.soller-baker.com.
