Hi, This is a 3-part request.

I just found out that my father "worked" on the Burma, railway line In Indonesia. I am told he was a p.o.w.,
working on the Burma railway-line, and liberated by the Americans in Thailand. Does anyone have more info regarding the soldiers, history or pictures or anything that could help me. My father passed away 16 yrs ago before I became interested in geneology so have hardly any info.

His name was George Henry van Son and HIS father was Johannes George Frederik a 2nd lieutenant and was born in Ben Koelen, Indonesia. Any info on him?

I am looking most for info on my father's grandparents who were Jacobus Reinhart Hendrik van Son and his mother Clara Frederika Schröder both living in The Hague, Holland.
I am not sure how long they were there as they gave birth to their son Johannes in Indonesia.
